Starter/Generator Belt for EZGO TXT, RXV, Valor and Medalist Gas — Replaces OEM 26414G01, 630587

This aftermarket replacement belt links the engine crankshaft pulley to the starter/generator on gas EZGO golf carts. The same belt cranks the engine when you start and turns the generator to charge the battery. A squealing noise, slipping on start-up, cracks or a glazed surface, or a battery that will not stay charged are signs it needs replacing.

Installation — difficulty: moderate (about 20–30 minutes)

1. Remove the key and disconnect the battery negative cable.
2. Raise the seat or body to reach the engine, then loosen the starter/generator mounting and adjusting bolts.
3. Remove the old belt and fit the new one around the crankshaft pulley and the starter/generator pulley.
4. Move the starter/generator to tension the belt (about 1/4 inch deflection at mid-span), then tighten the bolts.
5. Reconnect the battery and start the engine to check that the belt runs straight and quietly.
