This aftermarket replacement brake return spring is for Club Car carts. It replaces Club Car OEM 1013531, listed in Club Car parts manuals as "SPRING, BRAKE RETURN" in the brake pedal and brake cable / equalizer group. If the brake pedal is slow to come back up or the brakes drag after you release the pedal, a stretched or broken return spring is a common cause.

Installation — difficulty: easy (about 15–20 minutes)

1. Electric carts: put the Tow/Run switch in TOW and disconnect the main negative battery cable. Gas carts: remove the key and disconnect the battery negative cable.
2. Park on level ground and chock the wheels.
3. Find the old return spring on the brake pedal or brake cable equalizer linkage and note where each end is hooked.
4. Unhook the old spring with pliers or a spring hook tool and hook the new spring into the same holes.
5. Press the brake pedal several times and check that it returns fully and the brakes release before driving.
