Lower Yoke Universal Joint for Club Car Precedent, Tempo & Onward — Replaces OEM 103810201

This aftermarket replacement lower yoke universal joint connects the bottom of the steering column to the steering gear on Club Car Precedent-style carts. It replaces Club Car OEM 103810201, listed in Club Car parts manuals as "KIT, LOWER YOKE" in the steering column group, one per cart. A worn joint shows up as loose or notchy steering, a clunk when you turn the wheel, or play between the wheel and the front tires.

Installation — difficulty: moderate (about 30–60 minutes)

1. Electric carts: put the Tow/Run switch in TOW and disconnect the main negative battery cable. Gas carts: remove the key and disconnect the battery negative cable.
2. Point the front wheels straight ahead and mark how the joint sits on the steering shaft and the steering gear input so you can reassemble it the same way.
3. Remove the pinch bolts and slide the old joint off the splines.
4. Fit the new joint onto the splines in the same position, refit the pinch bolts and tighten them securely.
5. Turn the steering from lock to lock and check for smooth movement with no play before driving.
