Front King Pin Assembly for Club Car Precedent, Tempo & Onward — Replaces OEM 102287201, 103638601

This is an aftermarket replacement front king pin assembly for Club Car Precedent-style front suspension. It matches Club Car 103638601, listed in the parts manuals as "ASM, KING PIN, M12" in the lower front suspension, and the earlier Precedent number 102287201. It is the pivot the front spindle turns on. Worn king pins cause sloppy or wandering steering, clunking when you turn, and uneven front tire wear.

Installation — difficulty: advanced (about 1–2 hours per side)

1. Electric carts: put the Tow/Run switch in TOW and disconnect the main negative battery cable. Gas carts: remove the key and disconnect the battery negative cable.
2. Lift the front of the cart, support the frame on jack stands and remove the front wheel.
3. Disconnect the tie rod end, support the spindle and remove the old king pin hardware.
4. Install the new king pin assembly and tighten to the values in your service manual.
5. Reconnect the tie rod, refit the wheel, lower the cart and have the alignment checked. A golf cart mechanic can do this job if you prefer.
