Club Car Front Shock Absorbers (Pair) — Replaces OEM 1014235, 102588601, 103351001, 102288501

These aftermarket replacement front shock absorbers control bounce in the front suspension of Club Car carts. They replace Club Car OEM 1014235, 102588601 and 103351001, which Club Car parts manuals list as the front shock absorber, two per cart. A bouncy or floaty front end, a cart that bottoms out over bumps, or oil leaking down the shock body means it’s time for new shocks.

Installation — difficulty: moderate (about 45–60 minutes)

1. On electric carts, put the Tow/Run switch in TOW and disconnect the main negative battery cable; on gas carts, remove the key and disconnect the battery negative cable.
2. Lift the front of the cart and support it on jack stands; remove the front wheels if that gives you better access.
3. Remove the upper and lower shock mounting nuts and bolts and take out the old shock, noting the order of washers and bushings.
4. Fit the new shock with the washers and bushings in the same order and tighten the mounts.
5. Repeat on the other side, refit the wheels, lower the cart and reconnect the battery.
