Club Car DS Gas Ignition Key Switch with Keys — Replaces OEM 101826301

This aftermarket replacement key switch turns the ignition on and off on gas Club Car carts. It replaces Club Car OEM 101826301 (also written 1018263-01), which Club Car parts manuals list as "KEY SWITCH, 12-VOLT, OFF/ON" in the gas vehicle electrical components. If the cart only starts when you wiggle the key, the key turns too freely, or the engine cuts out over bumps, a worn key switch is a common cause.

Installation — difficulty: easy (about 15–20 minutes)

1. Remove the key and disconnect the battery negative cable.
2. Reach behind the dash (or remove the dash panel) and take a photo of the wires on the old switch.
3. Disconnect the wires, remove the switch retaining nut and take out the old switch.
4. Fit the new switch, tighten the retaining nut and reconnect the wires exactly as in your photo.
5. Reconnect the battery and check that the cart starts and shuts off with the new key.
