Input Shaft Kit for EZGO TXT Electric (Dana Rear Axle) — Replaces OEM 26926G01, 612556

This is an aftermarket replacement input shaft kit for the Dana rear axle (differential) on EZGO TXT electric golf carts, listed as a replacement for 26926G01 and 612556. The input shaft takes the drive from the motor into the rear-end gears. A worn input shaft or worn splines usually show up as a clunk when you start off or change direction, grinding or whining from the rear end, or a motor that spins without moving the cart.

Installation — difficulty: advanced (about 3–4 hours)

1. Put the Tow/Run switch in TOW and disconnect the main negative battery cable.
2. Lift the rear of the cart, support it on jack stands and drain the rear-end gear oil.
3. Label and disconnect the motor cables, then remove the motor.
4. Remove the input cover and replace the input shaft parts as described in your service manual.
5. Reassemble, refill the gear oil to the level in your service manual, refit the motor and reconnect the cables.
6. Reconnect the battery, set the switch to RUN and test at low speed. If you are not comfortable with drivetrain work, a golf cart mechanic can do this job.
