Resistor Control Assembly for EZGO RXV Electric — Replaces OEM 608148

This is an aftermarket replacement for the EZGO RXV resistor control, OEM 608148, listed in the electronic speed control section of the RXV electric parts manual. It is part of the cart’s speed control circuit. Replace it if the old one is cracked, burnt or corroded, or if a technician has traced a speed control fault to it.

Installation — difficulty: moderate (about 30 minutes)

1. Put the Tow/Run switch in TOW and disconnect the main negative battery cable.
2. Find the resistor control in the speed control area and take a photo of its wiring.
3. Disconnect the wires and remove the mounting screws.
4. Fit the new part in the same position and reconnect the wires exactly as in your photo.
5. Reconnect the battery cable, set the switch back to RUN, and test drive slowly.
6. If you are not comfortable with this job, a golf cart mechanic can fit it for you.
