This aftermarket replacement 36-volt solenoid is the high-current switch that connects battery power to the drive system when you press the pedal on 36V EZGO electric carts. It is listed as replacing EZGO OEM 27855-G02, which EZGO’s ST Sport II parts manual lists as "SOLENOID, 36 VOLT", plus 27855-G01, 11761-G1, 31680-G1 and 27805-G02. No click when you press the pedal, a click but no movement, or a cart that only goes some of the time are the usual signs of a worn solenoid.

Installation — difficulty: easy (about 20–30 minutes)

1. Put the Tow/Run switch in TOW and disconnect the main negative battery cable.
2. Take a photo of the wiring on the old solenoid (the large posts and the small terminals).
3. Disconnect the wires and unbolt the old solenoid.
4. Mount the new solenoid and reconnect every wire exactly as in your photo, with the large post nuts snug.
5. Reconnect the battery, set the switch to RUN and press the pedal: you should hear a click and the cart should move.
