Steering Yoke Sub-Assembly Kit (U-Joint) for EZGO RXV — Replaces OEM 604613

This aftermarket replacement yoke sub-assembly kit is the universal joint in the RXV steering column, letting the steering shaft turn at an angle on its way to the steering gear. EZGO lists OEM 604613 as "YOKE SUB ASSEMBLY KIT" in the front suspension section of RXV parts manuals. Play or a clunk in the steering wheel, a notchy or binding feel when turning, or a rusted, loose joint are signs it is worn.

Installation — difficulty: moderate (about 1 hour)

1. Gas carts: remove the key and disconnect the battery negative cable. Electric carts: put the Tow/Run switch in TOW and disconnect the main negative battery cable.
2. Lift the front of the cart, support it on jack stands and point the wheels straight ahead.
3. Mark the position of the yoke on both shafts, loosen the pinch bolts and remove the old yoke.
4. Fit the new yoke in the marked position and tighten the pinch bolts securely.
5. Check that the steering wheel is centered and turns lock to lock smoothly, then lower the cart. If you are not comfortable with steering work, a mechanic can do it.
