This aftermarket replacement speed sensor kit mounts at the end of the drive motor and tells the speed controller how fast the motor is turning. It replaces Club Car OEM 102704901, listed as "KIT, SPEED SENSOR" in the electric motor section of Club Car parts manuals. A failing sensor often shows up as the cart creeping along at low speed, surging or jerking, beeping, or a speed-sensor fault code.

Installation — difficulty: moderate (about 30–45 minutes)

1. Put the Tow/Run switch in TOW and disconnect the main negative battery cable.
2. Find the speed sensor at the end of the motor and unplug its wiring connector.
3. Note how the sensor and magnet sit, then remove the screws and take the old parts off.
4. Fit the new sensor and magnet in the same position, tighten the screws and plug the connector back in.
5. Reconnect the battery, set the switch to RUN, and test drive slowly to check for smooth speed and no fault codes.
