Rear Brake Cluster Assemblies for Club Car DS, Precedent, Onward and Tempo — Replaces OEM 101823301, 103380202

This aftermarket replacement set contains two rear brake clusters: complete, pre-assembled drum brake units (backing plate, shoes, springs and self-adjuster). Replace them if braking is weak, the brakes grind, the shoes are worn down, or the adjuster or springs are broken or seized.

Specifications

Installation — difficulty: advanced (about 1–2 hours)

1. Gas carts: remove the key and disconnect the battery negative cable. Electric carts: put the Tow/Run switch in TOW and disconnect the main negative battery cable.
2. Lift the rear onto jack stands and remove the wheel, hub and brake drum.
3. Disconnect the brake cable and unbolt the old cluster from the axle housing.
4. Fit the new cluster with the original bolts, reconnect the cable, and refit the drum, hub and wheel.
5. Adjust the brakes as described in your service manual and test them at low speed before normal driving.
6. If you are not comfortable with this job, a golf cart mechanic can fit it for you.
