Club Car Rear Brake Shoes for DS, Precedent, Onward & Tempo — Replaces OEM 101823201

These are aftermarket replacement brake shoes for Club Car carts with self-adjusting rear drum brakes. They replace Club Car OEM 101823201, listed in Club Car parts manuals as "PACKAGE, BRAKE SHOE": one package of four shoes per cart. Replace them when the pedal goes down further than it used to, stopping takes longer, or you hear grinding from the rear wheels.

Installation — difficulty: moderate (about 1–1.5 hours)

1. Chock the front wheels. On electric carts, put the Tow/Run switch in TOW and disconnect the main negative battery cable; on gas carts, remove the key and disconnect the battery negative cable.
2. Lift the rear, support it on jack stands, and remove the rear wheels and brake drums.
3. Photograph how the springs and adjuster sit, then remove the old shoes.
4. Fit the new shoes with the springs as in your photo, then refit the drums and wheels.
5. Lower the cart, reconnect the battery and test the brakes at low speed.
