King pins are the pivots the front spindles turn on. This aftermarket replacement kit covers the Club Car lower front suspension parts: king pin (OEM 1016386), thrust bearing (OEM 1010150) and king pin wave washer (OEM 1016389), each used 2 per cart. Worn king pins cause loose or wandering steering, clunks over bumps and uneven front tire wear.

Installation — difficulty: advanced (about 2–3 hours)

1. Gas carts: remove the key and disconnect the battery negative cable. Electric carts: put the Tow/Run switch in TOW and disconnect the main negative battery cable.
2. Lift the front onto jack stands and remove the front wheels.
3. Remove the king pin nut and drive out the old pin, noting the order of the thrust bearing and wave washer.
4. Fit the new king pin, thrust bearing and wave washer in the same order and refit the nut.
5. Refit the wheels, check the spindles turn smoothly without play, and have the alignment checked. A mechanic can do this if you prefer.
