Rear Brake Cables for Club Car Precedent, Onward and Tempo — Replaces OEM 1035287-01, 1035287-02, 1025575-01, 1025575-02

This aftermarket replacement set includes both rear brake cables, driver side and passenger side, which connect the brake pedal equalizer to the rear brakes. Stretched or worn cables cause a soft pedal, weak stopping, dragging brakes, or a cart that rolls when parked.

Installation — difficulty: moderate (about 45–60 minutes)

1. Gas carts: remove the key and disconnect the battery negative cable. Electric carts: put the Tow/Run switch in TOW and disconnect the main negative battery cable.
2. Chock the front wheels, lift the rear of the cart and support it on jack stands, then remove the rear wheels and brake drums.
3. Disconnect the old cables at the brake pedal equalizer and at the rear brake assemblies.
4. Route the new cables along the original path and connect them at both ends.
5. Adjust the brakes as described in your service manual, refit the drums and wheels, and test the brakes at low speed before normal driving.
