This is an aftermarket replacement brush plate (brush box) assembly with springs for the drive motor on Club Car electric carts. Club Car parts manuals list it as OEM 102186101, "BRUSH BOX ASSEMBLY", one per motor. Worn brushes or weak springs cause power loss, jerky starts, scraping noises or heavy sparking in the motor.

Installation — difficulty: advanced (about 2–3 hours)

1. Put the Tow/Run switch in TOW and disconnect the main negative battery cable.
2. Lift the rear of the cart and support it on jack stands. Label and disconnect the motor cables.
3. Remove the motor, or its brush-end cover, as described in your service manual to reach the brush plate.
4. Remove the old brush plate, fit the new one with the brushes seated on the commutator, and reassemble the motor.
5. Reconnect the cables as labeled and the battery, set the switch to RUN and test at low speed. A golf cart mechanic or motor shop can do this if you prefer.
