Front Spindle (Knuckle) Assembly for Club Car Precedent, Tempo & Onward — Replaces OEM 103638701, 103638702, 102287901

This aftermarket replacement front spindle (steering knuckle) assembly is for Club Car Precedent-style carts. It replaces Club Car OEM 103638701 (driver side) and 103638702 (passenger side), listed in Club Car parts manuals as "ASM, SPINDLE, WITH BUSHINGS", plus the earlier Precedent spindle 102287901. Replace it when the spindle is bent after an impact, the bushings are worn and the front wheel wobbles, or the steering is loose even with good tie rods.

Installation — difficulty: advanced (about 1–2 hours)

1. Electric carts: put the Tow/Run switch in TOW and disconnect the main negative battery cable. Gas carts: remove the key and disconnect the battery negative cable.
2. Lift the front of the cart and support it securely on jack stands.
3. Remove the front wheels and hubs, then disconnect the tie rod end from the spindle arm.
4. Remove the spindle mounting bolt (king pin) and take off the old spindles.
5. Fit the new spindles on the correct sides with their bushings, refit the bolt, tie rod end, hub and wheel.
6. Check or set the front-wheel alignment (toe) before driving. If you are not comfortable doing this job, have a golf cart mechanic install it.
