This is a pair of aftermarket replacement rear shock absorbers for Club Car golf carts; the manuals list two per cart. Worn shocks show up as a bouncy or harsh ride, a rear end that bottoms out, oil on the shock body, or split mounting bushings.

Installation — difficulty: moderate (about 30–60 minutes)

1. Gas carts: remove the key and disconnect the battery negative cable. Electric carts: put the Tow/Run switch in TOW and disconnect the main negative battery cable.
2. Lift the rear of the cart, support the frame on jack stands, and let the rear suspension hang.
3. Remove the upper and lower mounting nuts and bolts and take out the old shock.
4. Fit the new shock the same way up, with bushings and washers in the original order, and tighten the nuts securely.
5. Repeat on the other side, lower the cart, and test drive over a few bumps.
