Delta Shock and Gear Support Assembly for Club Car DS & Carryall — Replaces OEM 1016385

This is an aftermarket replacement Delta shock and gear support assembly, Club Car OEM 1016385, listed in Club Car parts manuals under the upper front suspension (Delta A-plate), one per cart. It is the front bracket that the front shocks and the steering gear mount to. Replace it if it is cracked, bent or badly rusted, or after front-end damage.

Installation — difficulty: advanced (about 2–3 hours)

1. Electric carts: put the Tow/Run switch in TOW and disconnect the main negative battery cable. Gas carts: remove the key and disconnect the battery negative cable.
2. Lift the front of the cart, support the frame on jack stands and remove the front wheels.
3. Disconnect the shocks and the steering gear from the old support, taking photos of how everything is attached.
4. Unbolt the old support, fit the new one and reattach the shocks and steering gear, tightening to your service manual values.
5. Refit the wheels, lower the cart and have the alignment checked. A golf cart mechanic can do this job if you prefer.
