Motor Brake Assembly for EZGO RXV Electric — Replaces OEM 610065, 617766

This aftermarket replacement motor brake mounts on the drive motor of EZGO RXV electric carts and works as the parking brake. EZGO lists OEM 610065 as a 6-inch "MOTOR BRAKE ASSEMBLY" in the 2009–2015 manuals and OEM 617766 as "E – BRAKE" in the 2016-up manuals. A brake that clicks but will not release, a cart that will not move or drags, a grinding noise, or a cart that rolls when parked are common signs it needs replacing.

Installation — difficulty: advanced (about 1–1.5 hours)

1. Put the Tow/Run switch in TOW and disconnect the main negative battery cable. Chock the wheels, because the cart can roll once the brake is removed.
2. Lift the rear of the cart and support it on jack stands for access.
3. Unplug the brake connector and remove the brake cover and mounting bolts.
4. Remove the old brake, fit the new one in the same position and reconnect the connector.
5. Reconnect the battery, set the switch to RUN, check that the brake releases when you drive and holds when parked, then test at low speed.
6. If you are not comfortable with motor and brake work, a mechanic can do it.
