Governor & Accelerator Cable Set for Club Car DS & Carryall Gas (Kawasaki FE290) — Replaces OEM 102336001, 102336101

This aftermarket replacement set covers the two snap-in throttle cables on Club Car gas carts with the Kawasaki FE290 engine: the governor cable (Club Car 102336001, "CABLE, GOVERNOR, SNAP-IN") and the accelerator cable (102336101, "CABLE, ACCELERATOR, SNAP-IN"). Together they connect the accelerator pedal and the governor to the engine throttle. A frayed, kinked, sticking or stretched cable can cause low top speed, surging, slow return to idle or an engine that won’t rev.

Installation — difficulty: moderate (about 1 hour)

1. Remove the key and disconnect the battery negative cable.
2. Photograph how both cables are routed and attached at the pedal, governor and engine.
3. Unsnap the old cables from their brackets and unhook the cable ends.
4. Route the new cables exactly the same way, snap them into the brackets and hook up the ends.
5. Check that the pedal returns fully and the engine drops back to idle. Adjust as described in your service manual before driving.
