Ignition Key Switch for EZGO TXT and Valor — Replaces OEM 33639G01, 17421G1, 611282

This aftermarket replacement key switch turns your EZGO golf cart on and off. If the cart only powers up when you wiggle the key, or the switch is loose, cracked or worn, it is time to replace it. EZGO lists two switch types, with lights (33639G01) and without lights (17421G1), so check whether your old switch has a lights position.

Installation — difficulty: easy (about 15–20 minutes)

1. Gas carts: remove the key and disconnect the battery negative cable. Electric carts: put the Tow/Run switch in TOW and disconnect the main negative battery cable.
2. Remove the dash panel or reach behind the dash so you can see the back of the switch.
3. Take a photo of the wiring, then disconnect the wires from the old switch.
4. Remove the retaining nut on the front of the dash and take out the old switch.
5. Fit the new switch, tighten the nut, and reconnect the wires as in your photo.
6. Reconnect the battery (switch back to RUN on electric carts) and check every key position.
