36V Forward/Reverse Switch Assembly for Club Car DS Electric (V-Glide) — Replaces OEM 1011997, 101753003

This is an aftermarket replacement forward/reverse (F&R) switch assembly for Club Car DS electric carts with the 36-volt V-Glide system. Club Car parts manuals list it as "ASSEMBLY, FORWARD/REVERSE SWITCH" under OEM 1011997, or 101753003 in the 1998 and 1999 manuals. If the cart will not move in one direction, cuts in and out when you shift, or the handle feels loose and will not click into position, a worn F&R switch is a likely cause.

Installation — difficulty: moderate (about 45–60 minutes)

1. Put the Tow/Run switch in TOW and disconnect the main negative battery cable.
2. Remove the cover over the F&R switch.
3. Photograph and label every wire before you disconnect anything.
4. Unbolt the old switch assembly and fit the new one in the same position.
5. Reconnect each wire as in your photos and refit the cover.
6. Reconnect the battery, set the switch to RUN, and test forward and reverse slowly in an open area.
